We don’t organise retreats ourselves at Waihōanga, but several groups organise retreats that have an open registration. Here are some that are coming up – please contact the organisers directly for more details… and we hope to see you here soon! Many thanks to Ming Janssen for this image taken during a Mindfulness for Change hui held at Waihōanga.

IMAGINE LIVING WITHOUT STRESS – a life free from worry and tension and the many daily problems these negative minds create. On this weekend meditation retreat we will look at how Buddhist meditation can help us recognise what stress is, and how we can reduce the stress we have in our life and live in a more relaxed, peaceful and positive way.
Weekend meditation retreats provide a rare opportunity to step away from the busyness of your life, immerse yourself in the natural environment and refresh your mind through meditation. The simple guided meditations provide an excellent introduction to meditation as well as a chance to improve our meditation skills. By learning to use these techniques in our daily life we can achieve inner peace and contentment all the time.
Treat yourself to this relaxing and meaningful break in the beautiful Otaki Gorge. This retreat is suitable for everyone.

Break through patterns that keep you small and trapped, patterns that keep you choosing lesser roles for yourself.
During this Mindfulness retreat you will break through these patterns and move towards your authentic purpose where you can stop doing and start experiencing the richness of life.
Once you surrender to the flow of your life you enter a world of abundance, synchronicity, and a heartwarming sense of true purpose and deep connection.
