Private accommodation in the area

The Waihōanga Lodge has four separate bedrooms. These sleep four (2 bunks), ten (5 bunks), eight (4 bunks) and four (4 singles), respectively. In addition, all bookings also can use Chicken and Rooster huts, which each sleep two people (1 bunk bed in each hut). The lodge and huts included in the base package can therefore can sleep up to 30 people in shared accommodation. There are two additional private cabins (Saddleback – 4 beds; Kākapo – double) on site that can be booked at an extra charge.

We appreciate that some of our guests like a bit more privacy – or need more beds! This page lists some suggestions of additional accommodation in the immediate area that you might like to explore.

Parenga Rd Beech Loft
Lovely newly converted loft just down the road from Waihōanga. The loft contains a kitchen, lounge, one bedroom and is fully self-contained.
